OMG! Its blogging day Cree. This week’s blog is about the shoe-lace kick. This kick is one of the goal maker kicks. If you want to be scoring goals and winning games you need to know how to kick the ball with this kick or a sweet-spot kick butt we'll talk about that one next week. This blog will give you a general idea of how to do it.
The strait-lace kick is good for keeping the ball close to the ground and giving it a lot of power. This happens because your leg and foot are strait and you get the longest swing out of your leg. On the back swing you want to make sure that you load all the way for maximum power. To load correctly you must bring your heal all the way back to your butt and make sure that your leg stays in a "V" form at the knee all the way through the kick. your plant foot is very important because if you step to far back to ball will sky-rocket and you will pull a scovell (or shank) the ball. To far forward and you'll probably stub your toe on the ground or the ball won't have any lift on it, not saying that’s a bad thing.

  1. This kick also makes it really hard for the goalie to accurately judge where it is going to go because the ball is low and usually travels very fast.

  5. This sounds like the ideal kick, then. What would cause you to choose a different kick when aiming for the goal?
